It can be said that the profession chose me. Although I’ve been drawn to painting and drawing since childhood, I never imagined that I would end up “stinging” people. At 21, I first picked up a tattoo machine – borrowed from my then-boyfriend – and tattooed a heart on my hand. Soon after, I tattooed a friend, and from that moment, I knew that this was something I enjoyed doing, even though I never thought it would become part of my everyday life.
In high school and university, I studied architecture, although it wasn’t fully my choice, and I felt it wasn’t the right fit for me. Tattooing was my escape, which came at just the right time – it helped me find peace and discover a passion I wanted to turn into a career.
I relate most to floral/botanical, illustrative, and minimalist/fine line styles, especially in the color version. I love these styles because they reflect the harmony between nature, simplicity, and detail – a combination that I enjoy transposing into every tattoo.
